After a year like 2020, we all could use a vacation. A stress-free week or two filled with new adventures, landscapes and experiences never sounded so good. And while the pandemic has not ended just yet, there will soon be newly approved vaccines, flexible booking policies and upgraded safety protocols to give us hope that travel will bounce back soon enough.

Many of us have spent A LOT of time at home in 2020. This has really taught us to appreciate the little things in life.
One thing many of us have done in the past, is we have taken nature for granted. We have now learnt to appreciate the value of nature. - 2. FAMOUS TREKKING ROUTES
PNG is truly a trekker’s paradise so lace up those boots and hit the hiking trails – it is raw and out there. Every day on every trek no matter how many times we have walked a track it is different. Full of culture and being one with nature. The opportunities are endless when it comes to adventure in Papua New Guinea.
The world-famous Kokoda Trail is a 96km trek of pure physical endurance, it is also an emotional and spiritual journey walking in the footsteps of the Aussie Diggers who were killed or injured defending PNG & Australia. The trek is 8-9 days and we only walk during the drier months April to October.
From the lowlands of PNG head up to the highlands and our mountains.
In fact, you can even climb one of the 7 volcanic summits, Mt Giluwe. Sounds pretty cool, huh? If you are really one for punishment combine both Mt Giluwe with Mt Wilhelm, this is the highest peak in PNG at 4509 meters. Combine these climbs with the ambience of the mountains, the culture and the many eco systems you experience, we have another world wonder.
- 3. A CHANCE TO SEIZE THE DAY
If there is one thing we have been reminded of this year, it’s that life is precious. We can’t take our time on earth for granted, because we never know how much time we have left.
So if you’re dreaming about an adventure into lands which are not often visited, visit it.
Don’t delay special moments and experiences in life, and aim to truly appreciate each and every moment. The year 2021/22 is our time to “seize the day,” and live the adventure we always dreamed of.
