Online Application for Fiji Passport issuance

Fijians who’ve applied for new passports will have to fill in an online application form in order to pre-enroll before visiting any Immigration Office for further processing.

Immigration Director Nemani Vuniwaqa says applicants will be given an ePassport Application ID Number which will need to be presented at the Immigration Office.

A tentative schedule has also been released for capturing biometrics and facial images which is a requirement for the new ePassport. Starting tomorrow, the Immigration Department will begin processing applications dating back to February this year.

Normal processing of a passport will now cost $200 (US$100) while urgent processing and emergency passports will be $275 (US$126).

The Official passport fee and the Diplomatic passport fee is $250(US$125). Urgent processing of these passports will cost $300(US$150).

Replacing a lost, stolen or damaged passport will incur a fee of $400(US$200) and an urgent application for the same will cost $520(US$260).

The Immigration Department open from 8.30am to 8pm weekdays for the next month in order to clear the backlog of applications.

It will also open from 8am to 4pm on Saturdays.

Passports can be collected three days after an applicant has registered their biometrics.
