PNG Introduces new eVisa Product

PNG Chief Migration Ocer Solomon Kantha announced the introduction of seven new electronic visa
classes that are available online on the Immigration and Citizenship Authority website.
“Anyone around the world with access to internet can visit our website: www.ica.gov.pg (http://www.ica.gov.pg) to access the eVisa Application Portal and lodge their eVisa application online. This enables clients to receive  their eVisa instantly,” said Kantha.
Kantha stated that anyone who wants to visit Papua New Guinea, and depending on their purpose of visit, can  apply online for the following eVisas: Restricted Employment Visa (REV); Sports person; Tourist (Own Itinerary);
Tourist - Tour Package; Visiting Relatives; Yacht person and Foreign Ocial – Short Term visa.
“The introduction of these seven new eVisa products is a demonstration of ICA’s commitment to improve travel  facilitation and generate revenue for the country,” he added.
“The Immigration and Citizenship Authority (ICA) is committed to realising the National Government’s plans to  improve revenue collection and tighten border security.”
Kantha advised that ICA will introduce new fees for its visa products this month, which will be standardised in  US dollars and will include a fast processing fee for visas.
This will allow clients to pay their visa fee anywhere in the world through a new payment gateway online using  a standardised US dollar rate.
“Our clients are encouraged to apply for eVisa online through our ocial website and refrain from using  secondary or third party websites as entry and refund is not guaranteed,” he cautioned.
