Welcome Pilot Bridget Ingham to the MAF PNG Family

Bridget Ingham, our newest pilot and team member, has arrived in Mt Hagen, Papua New Guinea!

We are so excited to have her here with us after waiting for so long due to travel restrictions and delays.

Bridget Ingham, our newest pilot and team member, has arrived in Mt Hagen

Bridget is from Wellington in New Zealand. Her MAF journey began in 2019, working as a flight instructor at the MAF training centre in Mareeba, QLD, with a 6-month tour in Timor Leste as a relief pilot in 2020.

Prior to joining MAF, she had worked as a research scientist for a government lab in New Zealand for 13 years. Her speciality was using synchrotron X-rays to probe the atomic structure of materials (for example, to study the various corrosion products that form on steel in different chemical environments, or to determine what happens to the calcium in milk during processing).

However, God’s calling to be a MAF pilot began when she was 11 years old, and she is excited to now be serving Him in PNG.
