Good Morning Lae City from Madang Resort Lukim PNG Expo.
Reduction of Crime Rate by 80 percent in Lae City and the positive drive by our member for Lae and Minister Hon. John Rosso and Lae City Authority with "A Better Lae " Campaign, moving towards a clean and safe city for tourism and business was the message being promoted by Lae City Tourism Bureau at the Lukim PNG Expo in Madang since Monday, 22 to 26th of September 2019.
Meetings and talks were conducted with tourism agents and wholsalers from Australia, UK,Germany, Italy, France, Canada' USA, China and Japan. Lae City Tourism Bureau is represented at the Expo by officers Chinwe Zurenuoc Lae District Business Development Officer and Maine Winny Executive Officer LCTB.
We are presenting different Tourism products including, International Standard Hotels, Motels, Guest Houses, Morobe show, Lae tours including, Rain Forest Habitat, Botanical Gardens and Flower Show, Gold mining History, Arts and Culture and Adventure Sports.
Particular interest was on Cruise ships into Lae and Morobe, Dirt Bike Adventures , Lae and Cairns sister cities arts, cultural tourism exchange programs, and the well established tourism infrastructure of the Lae Port and the development of new Nadzab International Airport.
LCTB is also conecting rural Morobe with unique products like BLack Cat Track when its opens again and Aseki Smoked Bodies imcluding Lake Wanam tours.
International tour operators are having one on one meeting with all tourism operators and agents in PNG through out the week and exchanging contacts including providing detail information on the products in the city and surounding areas.
Lae is being promoted as the gateway to a unique Morobe experience.
Appart from the International Agents we also had a visit to our desk by beautiful Leoshina Mercy Kariha Miss South Pacific who represents Melanesian Tourist Service MTS.
Discusions are underway for Cruise Ship visits through MTS in Madang to Lae and Morobe.
