Eastern Highlands Province is one of the 22 provinces in Papua New Guinea. This province is located in the Highlands Region of Papua New Guinea. Eastern Highlands is wellknown to tourists for its unique climate and adventures. The capital Gorok is attractive, well-organised town and is home to the famous show that comes alive in September each year where up to 40,000 painted warriors celebrate Papua New Guinea’s Independence Day.
